No one has a photo of a chip labeled like these. Pages on VIA's site were all search and replaced from VT8237 to VT8237R to VT8237R Plus over time. I'm not sure if there was any functional difference between VT8237 and VT8237R, or if it was just minor bugfixes, or even renamed for marketing reasons to emphasize the RAID support.
