This is because Sid was NOT a Musician at all and couldn't play Bass Guitar at all no thanks to his ever worsening Heroin Addiction and is generally regarded by fellow Sex Pistols Bandmates as "Absolutely COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY TALENTLESS. Couldn't play at all!!!" and even had his Bass Unplugged during most Sex Pistols Gigs.
