  • 14:1614:16, 7 August 2018 diff hist −117 Cypraea tigris Removed the so called form "pardalis" and added it to the list of synonyms. Shaw introduced "Cypraea pardalis" in the Naturalist's Miscellany of Dec. 1794. He explicitly stated that pardalis was synonym to tigris. He called it: "The Leopard or Tiger Cowry" and did not specify it to be any subspecies, variety or form of tigris, he only wrote about the species as a whole. 'Pardalis' means leopard and was used as a substitute name by Shaw. Any other claim is simply false. JoJan, WoRMS is corrupt. Tag: references removed
  • 04:2804:28, 7 August 2018 diff hist +12 Barbatia Changed two photo captions: Barbatia fusca into the official name, amygdalumtostum. The second photo shows Barbatia trapezina, not foliata. Barbatia foliata was described by Forsskål in 1775 and has a different morphology.

  • 03:2603:26, 6 August 2018 diff hist −40 Trona stercoraria Deleted "Trona tumulosa (Meusschen, 1778)" as a synonym, because Hidalgo made an error. Meusschen wrote about the Gronovius collection, and Gronovius edited Meusschen's description in his own work from 1781: he stated that Cypraea tumulosa was markedly different from Cypraea stercoraria and was found in the "American Sea". Trona stercoraria lives in West Africa however. As it stands, Meusschen's "Cypraea tumulosa" is most likely Cypraea mus bicornis instead, and is not of the genus Trona.
