Does "stronger" mean that there are fewer borrowings from the "standard" language? If so, "stronger" is not a good word for this as you could also say that people who speak the "standard" language have a "strong" accent relative to the certain rural Upper Saxon varieties. If "stronger" meant that it has stronger seeming sounds, then the note about the High German consonant shift should cover it. Tag: Visual edit
