- 06:5606:56, 21 September 2018 diff hist +2,885 Human mitochondrial genetics There is a widespread mix up of the "heavy" and "light" strands of mitochondrial DNA, as covered in doi:10.1080/24701394.2016.1275603. This error has been propagated through many of the wikipedia pages regarding mitochondrial DNA. I have made some edits here to correct this on this particular page, but many edits through wiki are needed to correct this. The simple way to check this is to count the G and T ratios of the strand.
