After completing his education, he worked as a teacher at Karze Datangma’s primary school. In 1998, he came to exile in India and continued his studies at Dzongsar Buddhist Institution. In 1999, he participated in the PEN Tibetan association’s conference and became an executive member of the association in 2000. He received degrees of Karam-pa in 2002 and Kachu-pa in 2005.
