Ownership of Timberwolves
[edit]Paragraph one currently reads: "He is also an owner of the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s Minnesota Timberwolves." This is incorrect. Rodriguez is in negotiations for purchase of the team, but the sale is still pending at this time. According to ESPN, a minority owner has filed a dispute and "A vote of the NBA's board of governors is still required to give final approval of the sale to Lore and Rodriguez." https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/31516790/pending-sale-minnesota-timberwolves-no-limitations-moving-franchise-new-city I recommend this sentence be either deleted or changed to "Rodriguez is currently in negotiations to purchase the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s Minnesota Timberwolves."

Change “When he was four years old, the family moved to the Dominican Republic, then to Miami, Florida in 1979 ” to “ When he was four years old, the family moved to the Dominican Republic in 1979, then to Miami, Florida ” in the early life section. The sources are correct but the article does not reflect this. 100.2.77.18 (talk) 00:35, 30 September 2022 (UTC)

It states in Early Life, that Alex Rodriguez was the first HS player to TRY OUT for the US national team in 1993. That is false. In the fall of 1983, my brother, Larry Hageman, senior in HS, attended a tryout at Seton Hall, for the US national team for the 84 Olympics. He made the first cut, and made it to the game phase. Also attending the event, Al Leiter, also a HS senior, at the time. 2603:7000:BC03:7900:FCE0:2641:8BA7:D825 (talk) 12:47, 26 October 2022 (UTC)

Awards and Honors, over-inclusive list?
[edit]Does "American League Batting Champion" belong in the same grouping as "Championships earned or shared"? It is not typical for baseball fans or analysts to list personal accomplishments in the same grouping as team accomplishments. As well, in the next section "Achievements" the batting title is listed with the other personal accomplishments, which is the much more sensible place for it to be. 07:54, 29 March 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ruttgc49 (talk • contribs)

- I don't see the necessity for this change because year sub-sections are already present in all of these sections. DreamRimmer (talk) 17:26, 18 May 2023 (UTC)

Please put "===Seattle Mariners===" beginning above the sentence "On July 8, 1994, Rodriguez debuted in the major leagues as a starting shortstop,[1] just the third 18-year-old major league shortstop since 1900.[2]" as this indicates his tenure with the Major League club. 2603:8000:8500:38F2:C58F:794F:9FB9:A0E8 (talk) 21:26, 18 May 2023 (UTC)

In this section,
https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Alex_Rodriguez&redirect=no#2014:_Suspension_due_to_Biogenesis_scandal
please add a link to the section further below which is:
https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Alex_Rodriguez&redirect=no#Biogenesis_baseball_scandal
(it describes the Biogenesis scandal in little more detail).
Earlier in the Alex Rodriguez page, readers don't know yet what the Biogenesis scandal is. It mentions it, but it fails to tell us what it is. I, too, was wondering what that was & had to look it up on Google. It led me to the main article here on Wikipedia. This can be avoided simply by giving readers a quick reference to the lower section that summarizes it, which is, again, this part: https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Alex_Rodriguez&redirect=no#Biogenesis_baseball_scandal Chrisredfield1 (talk) 22:16, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: Per MOS:LINKONCE, links should only be included once per major section, which it is immediately above in the 2013 section. Bestagon ⬡ 17:37, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
