External YouTube links
[edit]For musical artists, the best explanation an encyclopedia could give about the music itself would be through audio or video (especially on an artist like Herstand who has defied genres with his loop station and unique guitar styles). Unfortunately, it is quite time consuming to add video/audio due to necessary plugins/formats. Therefore, external links are the best way to do this. Imagine a Monet or Picasso page without images - the encyclopedia would just not be complete. While it would be nice if someone took the hours to convert video/audio files into Wikipedia's formats, this is not always going to happen. Therefore, in the cases where external links add to the content of the page in a way no text could, I feel external youtube links are justified. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.100.86.123 (talk) 18:30, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
