Daniels as Suicide
[edit]After all the Wiki discussion of who is playing Suicide, it looks like TNA has switched it up. Daniels made his debut as Suicide last week, replacing the again injured Kaz. PWTorch references it here: http://pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/TNA_News_1/article_29684.shtml
Also mentioned and added link on the Kaz discussion page. Can someone please edit when they have the chance? --Goosedoggy (talk) 04:13, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Suicide made his TNA debut tonight, and based on appearences, it is Daniels under the mask. source: I watched Impact! tonight. (lol) Daniels used his Last Rites (Rolling cutter) to Alex Shelly after the 4-way ladder match for the X-Division title. So perhaps adding suicide to his aliases would be appropriate. Qazox (talk) 07:06, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Qazox, adding a place for the Suicide allas wouldn't hurt the page, and Suicide does redirect here, which is confusing if there is no discription of his time as Suicide. --Superx (talk) 10:54, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Children?
[edit]Does anyone know the names of Christopher's two children? Just wondering. (MgHoneyBee 21:14, 23 March 2006 (UTC))
We need sources for his children's births.(MgTurtle 00:49, 10 August 2007 (UTC)).
ROH
[edit]How come this doesnt say anything about his career in ROH?
- I added the whole ROH section today. I just realized that I left out some major parts, but I'll go back and fix it soon, unless someone eles does it first, like when he fought Joe for the title. ken (talk) 18:24, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
Curry Man
[edit]Christopher Daniels obviously is not Curry Man, Kenta Kobayashi is! Don't you see!
- Sometimes you ppl worry me --- Paulley 21:54, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I quite agree. How could Kobayashi be Curry Man when THE IRON SHIEK OBVIOULSY IS!
Kenta Kobayashi is not Curry Man, he is just CURRY.
- You disreshpec da Iron Sheik?? I make you HUMBLE! Suriel1981 20:32, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
In all seriousness, we can all say trhat that's definately not daniels. that guy has black hair coming out of the back of his mask, so unlees Daniels grew a full head of hair within a week,or less, that is not Daniels. Blackmachismo131 (talk) 01:23, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Should we remove the fact that Daniels is not Curryman, unless he's sewn hair into the mask? Jay794 (talk) 22:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- Doing a simple google search, I have found tons of information that confirms Daniels wrestled as Curry man in Japan, and is the current Curry Man. I'm not sure what is considered a credible source in the wrestling wikipedia world, as this may be an issue. The hair could in fact be fake, it's not hard to sew fake hair into a mask. Look at Curry Man's eyes. Looking at his eyes does not confirm that he is Daniels, but he has round eyes not typical of a full blooded Japanese person. Though Iron Shiek is a clear second choice here. Angrymansr (talk) 18:14, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Not to mention the whole "wink wink nudge nudge" given to smarks by the fact that Curry Man has his mask with a black symbol over the left eye that JUST SO HAPPENS to be identical to Daniels's eye tattoo. AndarielHalo (talk) 00:23, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- Christopher Daniels absolutely DID wrestle as Curry Man in both Japan and ROH. But I've yet to find a single credible source that either proves or disproves that he is in fact Curry Man in TNA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.152.110.250 (talk) 00:59, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- Could someone provide some history of Daniels as Curryman prior to 2008 in TNA? Thx. Austinmayor (talk) 03:32, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
I have had a discussion with a relative who works with TNA staff (not FOR TNA but is a subcontractor via spike tv tech staff) and the whole 'who is under the mask' about curryman is a taboo thing. Seems the company is enjoying the guessing game as much as fans do ) Grelnar (talk) 13:24, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
AJ Styles
[edit]AJ Styles has a son and the son's middle name is Christopher Daniels' real last name. Should it be mentioned on Daniels' page?
Not unless AJ named his son after Daniels. NasDestiny 15:19, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
He did, it's in the Best of AJ, Volume 2. Tommyspud 05:08, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
I dont know
[edit]i dont know, but theres just something about this page that seems un wikipedia like, I changed a few things, but I cant think of what to change, maybe someone who knows more about the subject should edit this American-destroyer 16:12, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Los Conquistadores
[edit]I am putting this here because I dont have a source, but it list Daniels as tagging under the name Dos as a part of Los Conquistadores. He was actually only Dos in the backstage vignettes with Edge and Christian, and didn't actually wrestle under that gimmick. Lynx Raven Raide 11:38, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
movelist
[edit]I can't see the movelist or anything below that when viewing the page normally, but when trying to edit it, it is there. Someone fix this. Donco (talk) 17:49, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Also, what happened to the Spicy Drop? It's still one of his finishers, but it's not listed as such. Blackmachismo131 (talk) 01:24, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Feast or Fired
[edit]If the firing is only kayfabe, why have they not done a single thing with the storyline since it happened? Could anyone enlighten me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.117.79.33 (talk) 13:47, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, now we just saw Daniels' other persona Curry Man apear on TNA. that could mean something —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.209.151.53 (talk) 15:37, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
The Curryman that debuted in TNA had long hair so it can't have been him unless he's attatched hair to the mask Jay794 (talk) 20:20, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
It would CLEARLY take some sort of cutting edge 21st century nano technology to take a wad of hair and stuff it under a form-fitting head-mask. /sarcasm AndarielHalo (talk) 00:28, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Buffy
[edit]Christopher Daniels was not in Buffy The Vampire Slayer. That was a stunt actor named Chris Daniels. Christopher has refuted the story himself . —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hansen9j (talk • contribs) 01:16, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Source of Curry Man gimmick?
[edit]The article says the gimmick was based off some random Japanese company that sold curry. Can anyone cite this, and cite the company name? I want to see this real life Curry Man. AndarielHalo (talk) 00:29, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- I would personally be more inclined to believe that the gimmick was based on Curry Cook from the Kinnikuman manga as mentioned here [1] and possibly verified in this interview [2]- image here [3] --Apsouthern (talk) 16:10, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Spicy Suplex
[edit]I wanted to ask everyone something before i went to edit the page. When he wrestles as Curry Man, Christopher Daniels uses a pinning northern lights suplex as a finisher and calls it the spicy suplex. I 've seen it a couple times before, but not as frequent as the spicy rack/spicy drop, but shouldnt it still be listed in his finishers?
Daughter
[edit]Can someone find a source for the daughter's name?(MgTurtle (talk) 21:59, 24 August 2008 (UTC))
- Jerica Ellen from Straight Shootin' with AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels. --Genericchimera (talk) 10:14, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Tokyo Dangerous
[edit]I heard mike Mike Tenay saying "Tokyo Dangerous" in the Bound for Glory IV Steel Asylem match, but I can't recognize what's the variation ? User:BrunoXico2345 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.102.91.6 (talk) 20:42, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Removal of history
[edit]It seems a whole 2 months have disappeared from the history page. I added something after Final Resolution and the whole discussion seem to have gone. Why is this? Jay794 (talk) 23:18, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
So?
[edit]Who the hell is finally Suicide? Kaz? Christopher Daniels? I don't believe he's the fallen angel, because a long time ago Daniels was FOREVER fired of TNA. If Suicide is Daniels, what could happen if Jim Cornette discovers him unmasked? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.38.146.61 (talk) 23:35, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
- At the moment neither are. We don't know who is under the mask anymore. Plus, Daniels was never fired. He just became Curry Man since TNA wanted to bring that gimmick in, since it was very popular in Japan.--WillC---(What the F*** have you done lately???!!) 23:45, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Also notice
[edit]Other thing I see strange: when Suicide made his Impact! debut, he used the DOA against Chris Sabin, and if we look at the Suicide who uses the DOA, we'll find Kaz. But, Daniels also plays as Suicide, but he does not use the DOA. The main question is: if Kaz as Suicide uses the DOA, why Daniels not? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.38.146.61 (talk) 00:01, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- So far Suicide has used D.O.A. only once, in his first appearance, when he was played by Kazarian. When Daniels uses it, it will be added to the list.
TheFBH (talk) 00:09, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Return
[edit]Covell is returning as Christopher Daniels within the next 2 weeks as the final member of Team Jarrett. [4] (bottom) [5][6] (bottom) [7] (bottom) [8] (bottom) So ya'll can add this to the article. 72.155.251.126 (talk) 21:10, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Change the name
[edit]Is like the article of Low Ki. He is know by a lot of names, Suicide, Curry man, Christopher daniels, The Fall Angel and, now Daniels. Can we change the article's name to Daniel Covell? --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 23:21, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Facts, not Rumors
[edit]Daniels is still on the TNA Roster at www.TNAWrestling.com. Reports of him being released have, thus far, come only from rumor websites with no cited sources for their reports. The only "evidence" provided so far was that an "unnamed source" claimed Daniels was telling his friends he was released. Maybe good enough for the internet wrestling community, but certainly not good enough for Wikipedia. This isn't a rumor site. Until official word from TNA confirms it, it doesn't belong in the wiki article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.66.180.209 (talk) 20:35, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- Three reliable sources, PWTorch, PWInsider and the Wrestling Observer, have all individually checked with their sources and have confirmed he's done and all this while his booking agent has made a call for indy bookings, something that just doesn't happen when someone is under a contract with TNA. It took TNA about a month to get Awesome Kong's profile off the page and a week with the Nasty Boys, but in the end both of them did get removed.TheFBH (talk) 21:12, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Those are not reliable sources. They're rumor sites. Most of what they report is unsourced speculation. It's particularly untrustworthy when in none of the articles you mentioned, any sources are named. We're just supposed to believe them. This is not something that should be on Wikipedia. I won't get into a revert war with you, but it's wrong and it drags down the wiki. Keep it if you want, but it's bad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.66.180.209 (talk) 01:10, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Bad Influence (2012-2014)
[edit]In the last paragraph, in the part about the feud with Joseph Park there is the following line which makes no sense: "eventually divulging that Park Park and Park was closed 13 years ago". Can someone clean this section up? 194.28.124.53 (talk) 03:55, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- The article is unprotected. Probably why it looks like that. You're as qualified as anyone to clean things up. I thought about it, but the writing's so bad, it makes me angry. I can't edit when I'm angry. InedibleHulk (talk) 03:26, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
Disambiguation with Chris Daniels (musician) of Chris Daniels and the Kings
[edit]I don't know how pertinent this is, but Chris Daniels (musician) has the full name of Christopher. Should Christopher Daniels redirect to a disambiguation page, or is the wrestler so much more notable that the musician be relegated to the shortened form of the name only? Tumacama (talk) 15:47, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Came to see if this mentioned Daniels was #1 contender now, and saw the thing about Kazarian joining BC. Why do we list this here when it hasn't even been televised? Real Name
[edit]In this February 26 edit of the article, Daniels' legal name was changed from "Daniel Christopher Covell" to "Christopher Daniel Covell" without an explanation or additional source provided. The current source for the name in the header is the same as it always has been, however the link provided no longer directs to the specific article intended and I could not find the intended article by searching the website. Is there a reliable source for his actual name, and should the article header be changed to reflect it? PunkAndromeda (talk) 15:37, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
