Mile

[edit]

What's a "mile"? Gene Nygaard 01:52, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An imperial unit of measurement, roughly equivalent to 1.6km --The Spith 16:38, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He means statute vs nautical. I assumed it to be statute please correct me if I'm wrong. JIMp talk·cont 01:38, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is also a long tradition in the Gulf of Biscay with regular competitions in the summer http://www.ligaact.com/ 81.39.184.74 (talk)

Britain and Ireland

[edit]

Seems to be a lot of information under this category. Could it be restructured? Maybe split Irish rowing to it's own category? Any objections? Trustcited (talk) 00:02, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rename

[edit]

I think this article needs to be renamed "Coastal rowing" since Ocean rowing already has it's own page and refers to a completely different type of rowing. Any thoughts or objections? --Ozhiker (talk) 13:22, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps "Coastal and offshore rowing"? David Biddulph (talk) 15:51, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We have three Cornish Pilot Gigs. We race all through New England waters. You could add us.
