– Region is not part of the proper name of regions of Senegal, and is typically lowercase in sources. Dicklyon (talk) 07:38, 11 December 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 15:06, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

They aren't like Orange County or New York City? Largoplazo (talk) 13:47, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, they're not. Most of the articles include sentences starting like "The Dakar region" or "Kolda is a region", because region is not part of their name. You can check a few in book search and see that they're often lowercase in sources. Or check some n-grams. Dicklyon (talk) 16:00, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How about the departments like Thiès Department? Largoplazo (talk) 16:46, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't looked into those yet. What are you seeing? Dicklyon (talk) 17:51, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can see it right there in my question: "Department" is capitalized. Same issue as you've raised here for "Region", it seems to me, so I figured you might want to add the Senegalese department articles to your nomination. Largoplazo (talk) 13:55, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes indeed I might. But I haven't looked into them yet. Taking reasonable size steps usually works better for me than trying to fix everything at once. Dicklyon (talk) 19:55, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And I meant what are you seeing in sources, not what are you seeing in our titles. Dicklyon (talk) 01:18, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
