I thank Erhard Egidi for insight in the structure of the St John Passion (center: "Durch dein Gefängnis, Gottes Sohn, ist uns die Freiheit kommen), St. Matthew Passion and Mass in B minor (center: "Crucifixus"), and for sharing the love of their music.
