Mother
[edit]Under the singing ad campaign, it mentions a white-haired woman several times. Didn't the sixth, renaissance ad prove that woman to be the main character's (Eric's) mother? If so, that should definitly be mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.218.12.31 (talk) 22:45, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Why you should keep this page
[edit]Hi potentially deleting admin. FreeCreditReport.com is a well known website in the US (and only in the US, because of laws elsewhere) that is a top 10000 alexa site, has been the subject of major and very non-trivial news coverage (I haven't gotten there yet) for it's deceptive tactics and practices and advertises on TV and radio in the US constantly and nationally. It's plenty notable and is not an A7. Thanks.--CastAStone//(talk) 04:46, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
non-trivial RS Non-trivial - reports at legnth on deceptive tactics after describing a different site semi-trivial semi-trivial 4th question
That's in 3 weeks in a quick google news search. Cmon, this one isn't close.--CastAStone//(talk) 04:51, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

If all of that's not enough to at least send this to AfD, I don't know what is.--CastAStone//(talk) 05:02, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
- These losers want to tag every article that ends in .com as A7. Sarsaparilla (talk) 04:21, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- The above articles were a result of this edit which was a speedy delete based on one administrator's opinion. It was not a full fledge Article for Deletion prod.Americasroof (talk) 15:02, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Scams
[edit]It seems they're deliberately trying to consumers confused with annualcreditreport.com and freecreditreport.com - freecreditreport.com have over 7000 complains lodged against them on the Better Business Bureau. They're very shady. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.197.137.182 (talk) 20:13, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
- I was just SCAMMED out of $ 14.95, and i'm checking all my past statements to see if they've charged before. I went on the website once, didn't even get to the report before i decided it wasn't for me and i was still SCAMMED. Beware of this website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.129.31.189 (talk) 03:13, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Over a period of 6 Months, Triple Advantage Stole $90 without my consent. The Manager i spoke to said i'll have to fill out multiple forms and mail it to him before they can consider a refund. I never even finished the enrollment process before i quit, but they still kept my info and they enrolled me themselves so the can take my money.--72.129.31.189 (talk) 23:34, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm not quite sure why this article as well as an article about the actor in the commercials are such lightning rods. You can't even start an article on him because it is "salted" per WP:SALT. I was totally unaware of this policy which permits an administrator to arbitrarily prevent the creation of articles. The policy which makes sense for spams is supposed to be time limited. However in practice, the blocks are permanent. Never mind that a google name search on him produces 500,000 hits!!! It is almost impossible to figure out how to appeal and once you do find out you will be rudely attacked by the deletionists who seem to be the only people who are aware of this loophole that gives deletionist administrators unchecked power. Here's the result when I tried to write the article Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2009 January 25. I have incorporated what I have into this article. The bottom line is don't attempt to write an article on Eric Violette unless you want to be very frustrated.Americasroof (talk) 15:02, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Other Commercial Actors
[edit]Eric Violette gets a lot of press because he's the "face" of the commercials, but I'm having a hard time finding names for the other actors. I know the bass player has had parts in a number of movies but I can't find out who he is. Because the commercials are such a phenomenon, it would be nice to include this information... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.179.192.136 (talk) 18:09, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
