Specific text to be added or removed: Section History: topic Duane Eddy -- new content underlined
The label became popular in 1958 with the release of Duane Eddy's "Rebel Rouser"/"Stalkin'", which reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. Eddy became the mainstay Jamie artist, recording hit after hit, including "Because They're Young" (No. 4) and "Forty Miles of Bad Road" (No. 9). Eddy's last Jamie single "Runaway Pony"/"Just Because" was issued in 1962. Duane Eddy joked that there were six people who owned a twenty-five percent interest in Jamie Records, among them were his long time producer Lester Sill and television personality Dick Clark. Without much interest in the organization's structure, Eddy and songwriter Lee Hazlewood kept churning out hits, fourteen of Eddy's Jamie releases were aired on Dick Clark's television shows.
Reason for the change:
notable information about ownership of label and insight into label's initial success
Not done First sentence to be added is speculation from Eddy and unencyclopedic. The second sentence is extra detail that I don't think is necessary or perhaps should be reworded for inclusion. Z1720 (talk) 20:20, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
