Extreme Far Left Trump Hater
[edit]There needs to be a section on his extremist, hateful views
- This is a personal prejudice, not a relevant discussion point.
which proves again
- An opinion does not'prove' anything even once, let alone again.
that we should stop paying
- Not at all obvious who you mean by 'we'.
for this hate
- This only obvious hate in this context is that expressed in your comments.
via the BBC & our consolidated fund What fund is being referred to? To whom is 'our' referring?
plus it eliminates his 'balance' to be in 'impartial' news in the first place.
- A confusing, unclear clause.
He can have his hateful views, no problem, but we should not pay him to voice them via our national broadcaster. Don't give me that 'it was on his own time' crap either.
- Really, this rant warrants no more time.
Kilroy wrote his views on his own time too, but he got shafted as he was not far left. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5956941/Senior-BBC-presenter-participated-anti-Trump-protests-proudly-posing-Home-sign.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.151.153.122 (talk) 05:35, 16 July 2018 (UTC)
- I have no clue who this guy is really, but the Daily Mail is not a reliable source, and should generally not be used at all, and certainly not on biographies of living persons. No comment as to whether some type of content on his political leanings may or may not be appropriate for inclusion and to what extent, provided that it can be reliably sourced. See also Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. GMGtalk 13:02, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- The typist appears to be ranting.
Controversies
[edit]@Shakehandsman: It is not appropriate to create an entire controversy section in a BLP based on a single opinion piece in a local paper. Besides being an example of WP:RECENTISM, it seems to be very much WP:UNDUE, given that from what I can tell, basically no one else has picked up this story other than the Daily Mail and this single piece in this local paper. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a tabloid: it is not Wikipedia's job to be sensationalist, or to be the primary vehicle for the spread of titillating claims about people's lives. Relation to John Rowlatt
[edit]Is Justin Rowlatt any relation to lawyer John Rowlatt? I know that John Rowlatt is Justin Rowlatt's great-grandfather (Sidney Rowlatt)'s son. Does this make John Rowlatt Justin Rowlatt's grandfather or is he a great uncle? Is he worth mentioning in this article? Andysmith248 (talk) 11:53, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
Degree subject: science credentials
[edit]The article does not mention what subject Rowlatt studied at university. This is important in any case but particularly so because he writes substantially about scientific subjects. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.134.39.133 (talk) 04:21, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
