Quality of sources issue

[edit]

This article makes a very strong (and highly controversial in Poland) accusation against Mr Skubiszewski - that he was an informant of the secret police in the Communist times. It cites Institute of National Remembrance (INR, Polish: IPN) as its source, but none of the references actually cites any publication or official document from the INR itself. Instead they cite just secondary sources, namely publications in openly politically biased blogs and media. I think a primary source should be used to uphold such a strong claim. Secondly, reference 5 quoutes so called Macierewicz's list. This source is even more controversial as many people placed on this list have fought in the courts against this and won. I don't think it should be considered a credible source. Powerek38 (talk) 13:51, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • The situation was disscused a few days ago and since there was not any new source. The Institute of National Remembrance never published the publication which would confirm this information, as well as no scientific study never appeared. I would suggest sysops protect this articel to stop edit war. LeinaD (t) 14:47, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Since 1961 he was informator of communist Służba Bezpieczeństwa codename "K." and in 1965 was secret collaborator of communist SB codename "Kosk" (till 1969). (Maciej Marosz, Skubiszewski i łotry z emigracji, Gazeta Polska 17-11-2009).

In Gazeta Polska professor Antoni Dudek from IPN confirmed that level of collaboration. Mathiasrex (talk) 23:41, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
