Proposed Merger

[edit]

I disagree. The article is specifically about the degree, and should stand alone like the Bachelor's Degree article and other such pages on degrees. Rick also has a point about the length.

I disagree and you can see more on why at Talk:Education of Lawyers in the United States Davidkinnen 10:18, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with merger. This article is already quite lengthy. Merging it into something else will only make things worse.

This article mainly deals with matters that have almost nothing to do with "law school", e.g., other degrees that might be confused with the J.D., the history of the J.D. degree specifically, how society and academia view a J.D. compared to a Ph.D., proper use of titles such as Doctor, Barrister, etc., for someone with a J.D. degree. Disagree. As any lawyer will tell you, the degree and the process of acquiring it are...well, quite different. Cribcage 05:54, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree.--Sina 22:08, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I 'disagree The purpose of this site is for specific information with narrow topic headings. Not long and lengthy articles of generalized topics.

I Disagree, the article talks about the J.D. Degree, not about Lawschool

I disagree, Law School is an establishment where one studies law, whereas a J.D. is a doctorate degree (Law Schools award other degrees as well).

I disagree, for the reasons above and for the fact that not all law schools (in Canada and the UK, for example) offer Juris Doctor degrees. They should be kept separate.

I disagree, for all of the reasons put forth above. NTM
