"Folk" music? Madredeus?! At least "world music" isn't as insulting, in that it merely mirrors the utterer's ignorance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.249.64.233 (talk) 17:45, 10 August 2014 (UTC)
"Road Movie Trilogy"
[edit]Wenders did NOT call them this, he says in "Three for the Road" (Criterion Collection documentary) that a critic referred them this way, he hadn't ever thought of it. He seems to accept the name, but didn't originate it. -- David Spalding (☎ ✉ ✍) 23:32, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

Manoel de Oliveira - not the oldest active director at the time
[edit]Although he would claim the title later (and still holds the "record" for the oldest director, as far as I know), at least two older directors (by few months) were active in 1993-1994: Jean Delannoy and Gösta Werner; and I am not counting Leni Riefenstahl, since she worked only on photography after mid-1960s and only made another picture in early 2000s. I guess they were likely dozens of lesser-known directors in their late-80s that were still active at the time. StjepanHR (talk) 13:32, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
