2021 update and leftovers

[edit]

I've just compiled the list from scratch [1]. This has resulted in the removal a list of a number of entries, and this may need looking into. Most of them should be genera that have by now been reduced to synonymy, in which case the individual articles will likely need to be renamed or merged. Here's the list:

Anyone feels like digging into that? – Uanfala (talk) 01:17, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

N-Z in the new list: One genus links back to Brassicaceae, see Pachycladon (syn. Cheesemania). Planodes links to the beetle genus. Terraria links to some computer game. Vania links to people with the given name Vania, Vania (genus) is a genus of foraminiferans. Pseudosempervivum, Thlaspiceras and Neurotropis are (not completely in the last two) recognised but link to Noccaea. 2A02:A45D:25BD:1:F516:16A9:E82:4A26 (talk) 13:03, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I've fixed the ones you pointed out, except for the three Noccaea redirects: I really don't think I would want to attempt disentangling that complex genus right now. I've also checked the links A–B, so it's C–M that remain. – Uanfala (talk) 20:25, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done C–D: all was good except possibly for Callothlaspi (redirects to Noccaea) and Drabella (-> Draba). – Uanfala (talk) 21:19, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers. Went over the rest (ignoring the Noccaea redirects), 5 more: Fourraea links to Turritis. Eunomia is Greek goddess of lawyers. Micrantha is a genus of moths. Irania is also a bird. Guenthera redirects to an Asteraceae genus... this is because Guenthera Regel (1857), whereas this is Guenthera Andrz. ex Besser (1822).
Drabella does look iffy/controversial considering Draba verna L. would go in it? Noccaea looks ripe for splitting, biogeographically.
By the way, List of Cyperus species looks out of date/has a bad source. 2A02:A45D:25BD:1:F54C:6D45:654E:9D42 (talk) 13:26, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you again! I think I've fixed the remaining links you've identified above. Dealing with Draba, Drabella or the sedges would be beyond me for now. You know, if you come across a redirect pointing to the wrong target, you can just fix it, you should be able to edit all (or almost all) of the pages concerned. Anonymous editors can't create or rename articles, so if you need help with that, you can let me know (or you can just create an account). – Uanfala (talk) 01:51, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a redirect to Brassicaceae from the above list: Coluteocarpus, tricky, needs redirect to Noccaea. Is Thellungiella needed? Info could be split over the now recognised genera. It becomes a synonym of whatever genus the type is now in.
All the redlinks can just be ignored for now, no? 2A02:A45D:25BD:1:F54C:6D45:654E:9D42 (talk) 13:48, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Genera fixed/need no fixing, moved from above list
