[edit]Some of the province names are in ASCII text, such as AF01: Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan But if you look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-2:AF, the data is in utf-8 with all the accents added. >>> Badakhshān <<< I could correct this, but it appears from the Sources section the data is generated from this file http://efele.net/maps/fips-10/data/fips-414.txt, so wondering if any corrections may be over written in time.
