Assess : newly added and existing articles, maybe nominate some good B-class articles for GA; independently assess some as A-class, regardless of GA status.
Cleanup : * Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state) * Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.) * Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing. * Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
* Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."

I agree. Could we get a citation on this or at least an explanation? I have never heard of sport having such a narrow definition that football, tennis, baseball, cricket, etc would not be considered true sports! 203.5.6.57 (talk) 22:42, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I propose merging Ball game into List of ball games. The two articles have very similar content. Even though the "Ball game" article was created in 2005, and tagged for lack of citations in 2021, it still has no citations. While the list article is clearly intended to provide a list of sports that involve the use of a ball, it is less clear what would be included in the "Ball game" article, other than a list of such sports. After the merge, the Ball game article can be converted to a disambiguation page for the various uses of the term "Ball game". The "List of ball games" article has an average of 390 views per day, but the "ball game" article has around 161. OvertAnalyzer (talk) 16:05, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think that a merge is sufficient, and don't think that the ball game needs a DAB. I'm not sure that there are many likely alternative meanings of ball game to warrant a DAB, and these could be managed with hatnotes. For example, I don't think that many people will be searching for ball game when they're actually looking for The Ball Game. YMerger complete.Klbrain (talk) 11:25, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
