This article should be renamed

[edit]

This article is called "Igbo Mythology", and yet it is not just about the mythology, but about the pagan, polytheistic religion of the Igbo in general. It should be renamed to show this. Mythology is only a part of the religion, not the name of it. (Midnightblueowl (talk) 16:52, 28 October 2008 (UTC))[reply]

I'm going to rename this page Odinani as it makes more sense as it describes both beliefs and practices, not just a mythology, and using the traditional name has been used on pages such as Rodnovery. (Midnightblueowl (talk) 21:29, 2 November 2008 (UTC))[reply]

I think i agree with you @ midnightblueowl... what i will like to add to your comment is that Odinala (which is the Igbo Izugbe term) need to be written alongside Odinani so regardless of one's accent, all can be able to access this beautiful piece without any trouble. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ikennamaximum (talkcontribs) 22:00, 24 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
