Inaccurate map

[edit]

This is not a map of Wales at the time of the Roman invasion but merely shows the present outline of Wales with the conjectural borders for the tribes. This is misleading and should be removed

Semantics

Is 'Ordovicii' a correct alternative spelling, or an incorrect one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.142.245.206 (talk) 07:42, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like a Roman spelling for the tribe as a whole - 'ordo-vicky-eye'.
... I suspect that the hard 'c' pronunciation later got replaced when the English form 'Ordovices' came to predominate, although I could be wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.7.147.13 (talk) 18:09, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
