O'Rorke's widow
[edit]I changed the text on the link to reference just the Society article because the phrase, "Religious of the Sacred Heart", actually refers to the literal translation of the initials sometimes used by the women of this society; not the society itself. I hope this will be viewed as being more accurate but if the change is not well received, please feel free to revise it (please DO NOT just revert as that would also destroy the bridge reference addition). [edit]Correction: Patrick O'Rorke's parents did not die in transit and he was not put in an orphanage. He lived with his parents in Rochester, NY and his parents graves are there. My father is a descendant of the O'Rorke's on his mother's side. Colonel Patrick O'Rorke was my father's - Grandfather's first cousin. (moved by Hal Jespersen (talk) 18:10, 9 November 2011 (UTC))
- Agreed, I will removed this uncited comment, which was first added in dec 2009 by an anon user, possibly as vandalism. Other sources state that his father died two years prior to his joining west point and his mother encouraged him to get a job to support the family. Dspark76 (talk) 16:02, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
