In addition to good book reviews, the author has won numerous awards in his field (including an Emmy.) It's at a fourth edition, and is published by a technology publishing company that is an imprint of an academic press. Top industry professionals cite the book as required reading, and it's been written and discussed in magazines and books from 1999 until at least 2011.
