Excellent discussions and two sources
[edit]This discusses this light as being part of the Lighthouse Board's development of technology (underwater cribs) to built in remote and dangerous places in lieu light vessels, etc. Clarke Historical Library. Places this in the context of a half dozen other lighthouses. Very well thought out. Take a look. The other is the Wayne Wheeler article out of "A Keeper's Log" which is an extended article on this light. Here3 is the link; Wheeler, Wayne, Rock of Ages Light Station, A Keeper's Log, Fall, 2005. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 15:16, 2 November 2008 (UTC) Stan

Rock of Ages Light vs. Rock of Ages Lighthouse
[edit]Why is this called the "Rock of Ages Light" instead of the "Rock of Ages Lighthouse". There are many wikilinks that show red because of this. Dinkytown (talk) 18:06, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- I think that there was some prior discussion and consensus regarding the whole "Light" vs. "Lighthouse" issue. As to the red links, the most expeditious resolution is for someone to do a redirect from "Rock of Ages Lighthouse" to "Rock of Ages Light", I think. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 18:45, 20 November 2009 (UTC) Stan

Incorrect location on the map
[edit]The Michigan map does not have the correct location of the lighthouse. The 'red dot' is shown to be where Grand Portage is at. Tried to fix it but to no avail. I believe there is a glitch in the software that dose that... Dinkytown (talk) 22:34, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
