Is church the only structure or center of note in the town? Is there no commerical center (e.g. High Street) worth photographing? TheGrappler 04:46, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually Sanderstead doesn't have very much by way of a high street worth photographing. It does have the pond and a nice welcome sign though. If anyone lives nearby... Martín (saying/doing) 11:00, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am from Sanderstead, now residing in Wimbledon. The White House is worth a photograph - next time I'm in the village (not town) I will try to remember to take one. It the second oldest building in the village, dating from Elizabethan times. I imagine that it inspired the mock-Tudor appearance of the shopping parade along the Limpsfield Road (a road going south from Sanderstead roundabout to Hamsey Green and Wimbledon).Parmesan 00:50, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This geograph search confirms there aint much of interest. -- RHaworth 02:28, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a few pictures to the Geograph site, but apart from Waitrose and King's Wood - a bit poorDavidAnstiss (talk) 20:34, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sanderstead is not in Surrey (although it borders it)

[edit]

This edit [1] introduces an anachronism, suggesting that Sanderstead remains in Surrey. In fact it has been part of the London Borough of Croydon since 1965 when Coulsdon and Purley Urban District was transferred to the newly created London Borough of Croydon, and thus lies within the Greater London boundary for both ceremonial and administrative purposes. The geographic county is Greater London, and the administrative London borough is Croydon. It lies on the edge of the Surrey border. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 17:21, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
