[edit]Part of the 58/58 C/59 series high end LED programmable calculators offered by Texas Instruments. The 58 C might be the best of the bunch owing to its constant memory and the age of these calculators.
The 59 had a card reader to reload programs but this is a mechanical device that generally needs repair (and the major flaw after twenty years). That is why a 58 C, even with half the memory of a 59, is probably still a better calculator to have and use on a daily basis.
The TI's of this era have a terrible keyboard on average; i.e. 2 out of 3 are probably bad if you find them used. Best to find NOS if you wish to use any calculator for nostalgia.
On paper it would compare to an HP34C.
