[edit]I've made a new page from the old Banker section of the main Deal or No Deal UK article. As a starting point, I've basically carted over the old lengthy section. So it still suffers from the problems I mentioned in the talk page for the main article. But it's a start.--PaulTaylor 14:53, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Image
[edit]Seeing as we have a new page now, it might be good to have the image of his chair/his hand that was shown on Wrighty's game on Christmas Day? - ǀ Mikay ǀ 12:17, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good idea if anyone has it.--PaulTaylor 15:32, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Referecnes
[edit]The references in the article aren't working - the numbers in square brackets are there but there are no associated footnotes. I don't really know how they work, so can someone who's au fait with such things fix it up maybe?--PaulTaylor 19:19, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
I have a screen capture of the banker when he was shown on the "beach" with Jean and Orry - I can't upload it as I've not uploaded images before. I can email it to someone who can though....? my email is doctor.bloodsplatter@gmail.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.41.16.151 (talk) 01:43, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
£26,000
[edit]I've added the topic of the offer of £26,000 being referred to as the Banker's "Old Faithful". I think it does belong in this article but I need other opinions on this. Not long ago, Noel Edmonds answered the phone and said to the contestant, "He's calling on his "old faithful"," and everyone in the studio instantly knew what the offer was — £26,000, which (according to Noel) had indeed got some contestants out of the crazy chair and had saved the Banker a lot of money. Cleanup of this article
[edit]I'm suggesting we have a major cleanup of this article. A lot still needs to be sourced here. I think the profile section should be smaller or deleted altogether (since practically nothing there can be referenced). I'm just making a note here first in case anyone disagrees? - Okay, had a big cleanup and cleaned out a lot of stuff that wasn't notable enough for inclusion. Various anecdotes from shows have been removed because this article really shouldn't just become a long lists of stories from various episodes. Also a lot of information about the Banker that can't be verified has been removed. Phew. Joshua Lee talk softly, please 02:10, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
Richard on Would I Lie To You
[edit]On a recent episode of Would I Lie To You, Richard Osman was talking about the banker and he then appeared to call him "Dave" . Could David Bodycombe be the banker ? Darwin-rover (talk) 22:03, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
- LOL! Saw the same show, heard the same thing, did the same research and came to the same conclusion! Glad I checked the talk page. No place for such speculation on the article, though "Dave" deserves inclusion with the appropriate citation. nemo (talk) 22:32, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
