Notability.

[edit]

There are links to reliable sources, including the independent Newspaper and the BBC, establishing this albums importance in reaching No 1 on the UK indie charts, being awarded the inaugural IMRO/NCH trailblazers award, and ints continuing influence as the topic and title of a BBC documentary. I think the "notability" tag can be removed now. @Ss112: Verlaine76 (talk) 16:55, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

According to WP:Notability (music)#Recordings a recording is notable if:
  1. The recording has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent from the musician or ensemble who created it. (The album was the subject of reviews in the music press of the time and has also been discussed subsequent reliable sites papers of and publications as linked to here).
  2. The recording has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or television network. (the album was discussed in the documentary The Story of Microdisney: The Clock Comes Down the Stairs, broadcast nationally on BBC television, as well as the radio Documentary "Iron Fist in a Velvet Glove" which was broadcast nationally by Newstalk FM in Ireland.)
