There are 13 children that live there not including Lily who spends some of her time there.
- Not done: please be more specific about what needs to be changed. - The list already includes 13 names - Happysailor (Talk) 16:38, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- Lily left in Series 2 and she returned in Series 6 and Series 9. 86.156.187.197 (talk) 18:36, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

Improvements
[edit]I've worked hard to try and improve the article over the past few weeks but it still looks like a mess. There's not enough clear and concise info. OK, maybe the series synopsis for the series 1 page needs condensing, and the episode synopsis' need a bit more, and the character pages need a bit of sorting out or merging and the premise & production & review section on this main page need more info (and not to mention, a sub-list for series 2 on the episodes page). If anyone else who is familiar with the series can help and pitch in, feel free to do so. Emirates123 (talk) 20:22, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that List of The Dumping Ground characters be merged into The Dumping Ground. I think that the content in the List of The Dumping Ground characters article can easily be explained in the context of The Dumping Ground, and the The Dumping Ground article is of a reasonable size that the merging of List of The Dumping Ground characters will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. Currently The Dumping Ground is at 15 Kb and the character articles is at 6 Kb, combined together with removing duplication would have the article at 20 Kb, well below even the lowest threshold at WP:TOOBIG. The character article has one reference about the series itself winning an award and could be deleted or merged if taken to an AfD and probably only has two incoming links from the parent article and List of Tracy Beaker series characters, but that is hard to tell since the character article is also in Template:Tracy Beaker series. - Oppose - The Dumping Ground is big enough which is why I moved it over in the first place, It's the norm to move these over especially they grow which this has done, As for it being unsourced - I'll get around to it in the next 2/3 weeks. –Davey2010Talk 17:26, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
Hyperlink 5 and Scheduling information
[edit]The paragraph relating to [5] claims that the next two series won't be shown until 2021 and 2022. However, the article it relates to makes no reference to those dates, and there appears to be no source for those dates either. If this cannot be referenced then it is false information and should be deleted accordingly — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:D401:5B00:288C:7C3B:9FEC:5C6 (talk) 02:10, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

is The Dumping Ground ended
[edit]The Dumping Ground ended on CBBC due to a cliffhanger at the end of the tenth series.
NO! This series has NOT ended. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9063662/?ref_=nm_flmg_eps_tt_1 Whoever is claiming it ended can't even be bothered to cite a SINGLE source. "It ended because of a cliffhanger"? How is that PROOF that it ended? Guess what GENIUSES. There was an explosion in Grange Hill in 2002. But did it end? NO. It returned again for the next series in 2003.--82.14.94.57 (talk) 03:17, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- Maybe just new location was Elm Tree House before Ashdene Ridge 82.22.246.62 (talk) 17:51, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
- Confirmed to begin on 26th January at 18:00 (6 pm), running for only 10 episodes rather than 20 this time apparently: https://www.bbc.co.uk/schedules/p00fzl9r/2024/01/26 82.14.94.57 (talk) 03:14, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

- Sad news guys The Dumping Ground has officially announced it has came to an end after Series 11 does not promise another series, as there won’t be a Series 12 on CBBC as it’s confirmed by the BBC. 86.156.187.197 (talk) 18:30, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- Why can't you dumbass school kids stop making up claims that "it's ended" without actually providing any actual proof? 82.14.94.57 (talk) 20:53, 26 July 2024 (UTC)

- Series 11 concluded on 22 March 2024 on CBBC I’m not sure if there would be a Series 12 of The Dumping Ground or it might have ended because of a cliffhanger and some old cast have gone and one new people leave and that’s Sabrina who appeared in Series 10 she left in Series 11 Episode 10 “Bring The House Down” so I don’t think there isn’t going to be a Series 12. 86.156.187.197 (talk) 18:32, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- Seriously? People leave shows all the time. Just because Sabrina left, you think that means there won't be a series 12? Are you the same person who insisted there wouldn't be a series 11 because of "a cliffhanger"?
- Stop spreading false information without proof!!! 82.14.94.57 (talk) 20:55, 26 July 2024 (UTC)

- Well it has ended now? 86.156.187.197 (talk) 18:32, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- And also I don’t think they would bring back Dani Harmer who plays Tracy Beaker because of her future reference since she last appeared at the end of Series 6 as a guest appearance for Mike and Fiona’s Wedding. 86.156.187.197 (talk) 18:34, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- Because Dani Harmer left Tracy Beaker Returns in Series 3 Episode 13 “Goodbye Tracy Beaker” doesn’t seem to bring her back in the future the dumping ground series. 86.156.187.197 (talk) 18:35, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

- Is Series 12 of The Dumping Ground coming out (next year) in 2025 on CBBC? 2A00:23C8:A6B3:F501:7DCD:497D:BC29:7B82 (talk) 19:55, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- People claimed that Series 10 was the last series "due to a cliffhanger"
- Now you're claiming Series 11 is the last series "due to a cliffhanger"?
- Either provide proof, as in, an actual official announcement by the BBC, or CBBC, and not just your stupid school playground gossip that "your friend" said, or stop making up stupid lies! 82.14.94.57 (talk) 20:57, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
- It’s been confirmed that Series 12 will be releasing on 18th October 2024 at (6pm) on CBBC so same as Series 11 be running for 10 episodes all in total. 148.252.146.78 (talk) 18:55, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- But that's impossible, because it was confirmed that the series was ending after Series 10, "due to a cliffhanger", and then it was ending after Series 11, "due to a cliffhanger", and because "some old cast have gone". Isn't that right, Special:Contributions/86.156.187.197? 82.14.94.57 (talk) 20:06, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
