Her name
[edit]California birth records list her name as "Tina Marie Majorino", not Albertina. Does anyone have a really, really, really good source that contradicts that? Mad Jack 16:50, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Several fansites give her name as Albertina Marie:
Tina Majorino Online
Tina Majorino Fan Site
Tina Majorino Fansite
And there's a quotation (probably from Tina's brother Kevin) explaining the meaning of "AM Project" on Tina Majorino Online's AM Project page:
GagHalfrunt 17:53, 11 June 2006 (UTC)The band name: "In the studio there wasn't a name established yet so the producer called it "The Project" just for fun because we had no name. Originally the music was written as a test to see how Tina's vocals would work. Tina's been singing since she was a baby but it was always opera or other people's work, she hadn't written any of her own stuff. So when we went into the studio to see how her vocals would be it was really her first time doing any original work where she actually got to write. We just added the "AM" for her initials."
- We can't really trust fansites, most are unreliable. You can check out the California birth log here [1]. Birth certificates always list the full name of the person. Maybe "Albertina" is kind of her "unofficial" name among family members, but legally she is "Tina"? Mad Jack 19:30, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Children with unusual names are liable to be teased at school, so perhaps her parents thought it was best not to make Albertina her legal name. GagHalfrunt 21:31, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- That may well be it. Mad Jack 21:31, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Location
[edit]I wonder if she was born in Westlake or Westlake Village. Her parents were based in the Conejo Valley, the location of Westlake Village.LorenzoB (talk) 01:43, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Assessment comment
[edit]The article uses a forum source that is not clearly reliable and needs a longer lead to better sumarize the article content. The article should be expanded. Regards Hekerui (talk) 09:48, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Best Known Role?
[edit]Is there agreement that her best known role is Deb from Napoleon Dynamite? ND is a cult classic but it's humor and style seem very niche to me. Isn't a more well known work from Waterworld? Waterworld earned 5x+ at the box office and is still a major attraction at numerous Universal Studios around the world. ColoradoHunter (talk) 16:00, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
