Merge?

[edit]

I have expanded the content quite a bit however I am not sure where this article should go in the long run. Ink cartridge refilling is already covered in some detail but not in a single coherent article. I am wondering whether this article should be merged into this coverage or whether it could be pulled out into this one to make a more general article on ink and toner refilling. --DanielRigal (talk) 21:18, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Although seemingly linked, Inkjet cartridge refilling and Laser Toner refilling are different subjects. Ink and Toner are completely different chemicals and refilling methods of toner cartridges are not the same as those of Inkjet. Specific information that applies to handling of toner is not relevant to ink and I feel that Toner refilling is an subject in it's own right. : Fornok (talk) 02:56, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added some information that eluded me for some years in our shop's attempts to keep our laser printers fed without having to buy OEM cartridges. In the meantime also removed mention of specific refill vendors. Agreed that inkjet and toner refilling is different, perhaps this article should be cited along with the inkjet refill article in a generic office machine repair/upkeep article. It would be handy if there was an indication of particle size and industrial naming. How many pages can be printed with say 100 grams of powder? How muc powder would roughly go into a drum? How to refill, any special precautions? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.7.6.51 (talk) 07:49, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
