Talk:Trax Colton

I mean come on, why should this article be deleted? It has references and what little information there is to find on Trax Colton. There are other articles on Wikipedia with little information, like Beverly Michaels, Cleo Moore, Barbara Nichols, Barbara Lang (shall I go on?) and a multitude of movies that don't even have premises or cast lists, like the majority of Mae West's movies, and most lesser-known B-movies that I guess some people don't think deserve too much information. Okay, so Trax Colton only made two movies and then vanished into oblivion, but he is mentioned many times in Jayne Mansfield's biography, and you cannot even click on his name to read any more about him. As the subject of a WP:BLP Morelli/Colton fails the Notability guideline for actors which states:

1. Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions.
2. Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following.
3. Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.

Not every actor in Hollywood is notable enough for a Wikipedia article, not even every member of SAG-AFTRA is notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Bringing up other Wikipedia articles as examples of possible non-notable content does nothing to buttress the notability of this particular WP:BLP subject.

Secondly, if there are so few sources that can be consulted for information on Morelli/Colton, then he also fails the General notability guideline which states in part:

If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article.

Hofler's book?

Reference #2 is to a Boson Globe/boston.com review of Robert Hofler's 2005 book The Man Who Invented Rock Hudson: The Pretty Boys and Dirty Deals of Henry Willson. I think direct citations from the book itself would be a better Wikipedia reference than a generalized book review with no page numbers. Shearonink (talk) 21:15, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Well, so this article will stay per the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Trax Colton close

I disagree with the close (the consensus being 4 to delete, 3 to keep). My personal opinion is that Colton/Morelli does not fulfill in large part the general notability guidelines or the parameters of Wikipedia biographies or WP:NACTOR but at this point, what is, is and the article is staying. If other editors care to, some attention should be paid to the Henry Willson article. Willson has extensive coverage in multiple books, a book-length biography, media (columns, long-form articles) during his lifetime and after - in his day he was an incredibly influential agent in Hollywood with a decades-long career - but his Wikipedia article is in sorry shape especially the referencing.
