LUTTER DIDN'T MAKE WEIGHT
[edit]So the title fight is off, it is now just a middleweight bout.
Mirko
[edit]Both articles (mmaweekly and sherdog) are unofficial and presently speculative. Sure, they are likely correct, but they are by no means a reliable, official press release. So until something is actually confirmed by Mirko, his management, or the UFC it is only appropriate to wait to post the news. Keep this in mind guys: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a website for MMA news... besides if you read the articles they both say "expected", which is in no way definitive Thesaddestday 05:39, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've heard the Wikipedia is not a newspaper argument many times and it's one misleading meme because it imples that no news source should be used as a source for information--which is ludicrous. This whole card on this article is completely made up of media reports, and if we should follow your logic, there'd only be two fights on that card and the Rampage vs. Eastman match would also be considered speculation.
- As for actual policy, please see WP:NOT: "It is appropriate to report discussion and arguments about the prospects for success of future proposals and projects or whether some development will occur, provided that discussion is properly referenced." Proper references are given, as such I'm reverting your changes. The idea that the UFC is the only proper source for information about the UFC (even for "future" information) is contrary to WP:NPOV. hateless 06:40, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
--69.175.88.28 11:23, 3 January 2007 (UTC)I agree with Hateless. Everything that Sherdog and MMA Weekly reported about Cro Cop turned out to be true. I strongly disagree with the notion that information has to come directly from a company (such as the UFC) for it to be considered a credible source. Fact is, most upcoming UFC fights are revealed for the first time in Sherdog news stories or in MMAWeekly's extensive Rumors section, only to be confirmed by the UFC weeks or sometimes even months later. --69.175.88.28 11:23, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
or you guys can ignore everything i've said and prove once and for all you are unable to comprehend things that you read, i'm not an english teacher so i'm done trying to explain it isn't my job to educate you guys Thesaddestday 14:07, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- I understand you quite well, don't be so arrogant that to think that your reasoning is infallible. hateless 17:37, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
