August 2021

[edit]
  1. TaxScouts: nominated at AfD; notified Mashkilleyson (talk · contribs) 20:33, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unremarkable company. Significant COI involved in creation and recent update. Coverage, e.g. In reference 3 (Techcrunch) seem to be based on corporate press releases.

September 2021

[edit]
  1. Q-Bus card list: nominated at AfD; notified Vometia (talk · contribs) 07:56, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:NOTDIR & WP:NOTEVERYTHING - just because we have a single reference (the company's official handbook) doesn't mean that we have to replicate every single entry in the contents section. This list of obsolete 1970s and 1980s computer interface and memory cards adds zero value to Wikipedia and is already summarised to good effect in the parent article Q-Bus. If anything, the sentence there that states "A wide range of interface cards are available for the Q-Bus." could be expanded with a short list grouping the different types of interface. It could also be that this list, being lifted from the source, is copyvio if the descriptions in the function column are lifted word for word - as some seem to be.

November 2021

[edit]
  1. Liver Run: nominated at AfD; notified Alex45825 (talk · contribs) 21:45, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:NOTNEWS - this, despite being a standalone article, is not a newsworthy event. Transplant organs are retrieved from source hospitals and taken to target hospitals every day in every country where transplant medicine is practiced. This one just happened to be picked up when the media were present. It is in no way a notable or newsworthy event, just something that happens every day. There might be some content that could be incorporated elsewhere but nothing jumps out at me.
  2. List of Metropolitan Police Stations: nominated at AfD; notified AdamWikiPeedo (talk · contribs) 08:33, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Trivial / unencyclopaedic list. Only a very small number of the list entries point to actual police station articles. Not much referencing, but even if it were fully referenced it would not be encylopaedic. Per WP:NOTDIR, Wikipedia is not a directory, we do not have to exhaustively list everything and just because we can build a list it doesn't mean that we should.

[edit]
  1. List of Northern Trains routes: nominated at AfD; notified Presidentman (talk · contribs) 06:17, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: A number of reasons for not needing this. Firstly it is overly-detailed (e.g. little icons for facilities at individual stations) and reads like an actual railway-company published timetable - wikipedia is not a travel guide WP:NOTTRAVEL and we don't need. this. Then there's the issue of WP:NOTDIR - just because we can list it doesn't mean we should as it's not clear (to me) what value it adds to the encyclopaedia. It is hopelessly out of date. Some of the routes are tagged as correct as-of 2019, some 2020, some not at all. Given that rail companies publish timetables every few months, something that is up to three years out of date again serves no good purpose in an encylopaedia. Finally it largely duplicates in a less easy to read manner what already exists in the Services section of the parent Northern Trains article.

January 2022

[edit]
  1. Template:Merseytravel: nominated at TfD; notified TheBigJagielka (talk · contribs) 10:02, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Template with only two entries used on only two pages. Made entirely redundant by the much more comprehensive {{Transport in Merseyside}} template.

March 2022

[edit]
  1. Kirkby train crash: nominated at AfD; notified Mjroots (talk · contribs) 22:22, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: One person suffered minor injuries when a train ran the buffers at the end of a platform. This sort of thing happens a lot, so it is hardly a noteworthy incident. Now it is clear, following conclusion of the prosecution, that it wasn't even serious enough for the driver to be jailed, it underlines the non-notability and this simply falls under WP:NOTNEWS. Suggest it should be deleted, but merge some of the content into MerseyRail and/or Kirkby railway station.

January 2023

[edit]
  1. Johnny Contardo: nominated at AfD; notified LoriM5160 (talk · contribs) 08:59, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Musician (and minor actor) fundamentally fails WP:SINGER. No significant coverage, no awards, no major film or festival appearance. The fact that there has been some failed COI editing over the past days that has been reverted by multiple editors shows that there really isn't a lot that can be added to this article.

February 2023

[edit]
  1. Loon (yacht): nominated at AfD; notified Nick Eaketts (talk · contribs) 09:12, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This reads like an advertisement for a charter yacht, probably because that's exactly what it is. It doesn't establish the notability of the boat. It only serves to promote the product.
I did PROD this, but the article creator who has made few other edits removed the PROD notice as is his right.

March 2023

[edit]
  1. Chris Clark (writer): nominated at AfD; notified The Good Dante (talk · contribs) 17:04, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Should be deleted under WP:BE alone as the article was created by subsequently blocked sockpuppet The Good Dante (talk · contribs) (prolific puppetmaster is BarehamOliver (talk · contribs). Only substantial contributions since creation have been another BarehamOliver sockpuppet account Classic Middlesex (talk · contribs). However, the article has been linked into other articles by other BarehamOliver sockpuppets. One might even suspect some COI here between the subject of the article and the various sock accounts.

[edit]
  1. Template:Former non-metropolitan districts of England: nominated at TfD; notified Doc77can (talk · contribs) 13:00, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
  2. Template:University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust: nominated at TfD; notified Elshad (talk · contribs) 10:33, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: With the exception of Weston General Hospital, everywhere that this Template is displayed, it is displayed alongside {{Healthcare in Bristol}}. All of the links in the former are also in the latter, again with the exception of Weston. I see little point in such duplication.

May 2023

[edit]
  1. Motorcycle Action Group: nominated at AfD; notified Tom Yates (talk · contribs) 14:48, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article about minor organisation promoting road users' rights (just motorcyclists). Article has been long-tagged for non-notability and nothing has been done to improve it. Most recent editing was about organisational infighting and involved COI. Nothing was/has been done to improve the article. Last person to edit the article has a still undeclared conflict of interest as the organisation's chair. His last contributions at ANI were revoked (I believe because they to make legal threats.). Sum total is an article, marred by COI bad behaviour, that fails to assert notability.
  2. Pytchair: nominated at AfD; notified Westcountrywa (talk · contribs) 20:40, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails general notability. 100% pure corporate puff-piece. Only substantial contributor has a clear conflict of interest.

June 2023

[edit]
  1. Template:Railway stations served by Greater Anglia: nominated at TfD; notified Xbhpnvs798 (talk · contribs) 06:46, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This table just (mostly) replicates Category:Greater Anglia franchise railway stations - with which there are some differences The only other thing it does is show which stations are request stops. Given its inaccuracy and limited value add it seems like an unnecessary maintenance burden to keep it.
  2. CharterUP: nominated at AfD; notified Mlevy1010 (talk · contribs) 20:57, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Paid-for corporate puff piece about a bus-related company that is so blatantly an advert for a non-notable company that even the bus enthusiasts are ignoring the article. We cannot allow paid-for promotional articles to go unchallenged.

August 2024

[edit]
  1. A508 road: nominated at AfD; notified JMF (talk · contribs) 09:24, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article about an unremarkable 32-mile long road, full-to-the-brim with original research. No indication of why the road is notable. There few actual facts, just an article that only serves to say this road exists. It would be much better to delete the content and redirect it to be a table row in the article A roads in Zone 5 of the Great Britain numbering scheme

September 2024

[edit]
  1. Cornwall College Students' Union: nominated at AfD; notified Trelawnytowers (talk · contribs) 13:15, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Entirely non-notable student organisation for small regional college. No references, no attempt to improve despite being tagged for over ten years. Suggest deletion with merger into The Cornwall College Group of anything still considered of value.
  2. Template:Curlie: nominated at TfD; notified Hhielscher (talk · contribs) 07:18, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Curlie is dead. The static pages such as "About" or "Privacy policy" still work, but any of the dynamic content, i.e. the directory itself is no longer working. Websites such as isitdownrightnow.com report it down long term.
Per WP:ELNO #16 we should avoid links to "Sites that are not reliably functional or not likely to continue being functional." That's Curlie.
Also the database has long been overtaken by spammers and ceased to be of use.
Deleting the template is preferred to removing it from multiple articles manually.
  3. CJ Follini: nominated at AfD; notified Kichaa (talk · contribs) 17:36, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Serious COI with a history of sockpuppet editing (perpetrators now blocked). What is left is still a largely promotional article about a minor businessman who has dabbled in film production. Not notable enough for an article.

October 2024

[edit]
  1. Station, Boston: nominated at AfD; notified DragonofBatley (talk · contribs) 13:48, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is an electoral ward of just 2,700 people with a town of 45,000 people. All that the article really says is "the ward exists". It does not prove its notability and it is for that complete lack of notability that I am nominating it for deletion.
  2. Deeside College: nominated at AfD; notified Steventattum (talk · contribs) 21:37, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Badly written, barely sourced promotional article about a college that ceased to exist in 2013. At best some elements could be transferred over to a history section in Coleg Cambria

November 2024

[edit]
  1. Whitney Adebayo: nominated at AfD; notified Meena (talk · contribs) 10:42, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This person is only notable for achieving second place in a reality TV show. Nothing else about here is notable. There are references from a variety of sources but again these only relate to her appearance in one series of of the TV show and nothing else. Per WP:NOTDIR we don't have to have articles on every participant in a reality show, surely only the winner is (borderline) notable but people rarely remember who came second.

December 2024

[edit]
  1. Mobile development framework: nominated at AfD; notified Flexbean (talk · contribs) 16:26, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Cruft-magnet - unsourced and out of date list containing original research. Long tagged as such and nothing has been done to address the issue. Doesn't look as if there's anything of value to preserve by moving to other articles.
