Bergen, Norway has a large number of parks and open spaces. The main concentration of parks is in the city centre, but the rest of the city does too have a number of parks that primarily serve their local neighbourhoods. There are no very large parks in Bergen; instead, the mountains and protected forest areas of the city serve as parks and recreational areas for the residents, as do the rural areas which make up a large part of the municipality.
