The name's Darby Jones, with no association to Darby Jones the band or Darby Jones the female actress from the 40's. The origin of my name is from "Darbyshire" which is a strong English name. I'd previously thought that Darbyshire was an Irish or Scottish name, but, not so much.

Urban homesteading by canning, drying and freezing food and by creating objects that make life easier by re-purposing scrap wood seems to be my thing these days.

Music tastes lean heavily towards folk and indie music, with a bit of an interest in rap and metal.
