    • This book is an edited textbook that should be a reliable secondary source. It covers the six different types of fingerprint powders that exist today. The information comes from a whole chapter within the textbook and should provide significant coverage needed to help establish notability.

    • This source is an edited textbook that should be a reliable secondary source. It covers the history and application of powders and dusting techniques as well as the different types of powders available including what each is best used for. This article will also help establish notability.

    • This review article comes from a peer-reviewed scientific journal and should be a reliable secondary source. It covers the effects that fingerprint powder has on DNA analysis. This article is somewhat related to the topic and could act as a section of the article; however, it does not really work to establish notability.
  • Sodhi, G.S.; Kaur, J. 2001. Powder Method for Detecting Latent Fingerprints: A review.[4]
    • This source is a review article from a peer-reviewed scientific journal that should be a reliable secondary source. It covers the mechanism by which the powder adheres to the fingerprints. It also details the components in the different fingerprint powders and the health risks that come with each. This article is specifically on fingerprint powder and, therefore, will help establish notability.
  • Lennard, Chris. 2007. Fingerprint detection: current capabilities.[5]
    • This source is a review article from a peer-reviewed scientific journal that should, therefore, be a reliable secondary source. It has a paragraph on fingerprint powders that outlines how powdering works and on what surfaces it is applicable. As well as some limitations to the powdering technique. Since there are more than a few sentences on the topic, it can still be used to help with notability.
