Fort Rock Cave

Evaluate the drafted changes

[edit]

This article focuses on an archaeological site found near Fort Rock, Oregon.

The lead is a basic description of the Fort Rock Cave and its importance. Some of the information in the lead, including what was found in the cave, the site's changes over time, and the measurements of the site, could all be expanded upon in their own sections below.

The section labeled "Archaeology" begins to describe the sagebrush sandals that were found in the cave, with only a small mention of other artifacts found at the site. I think this topic of prehistoric artifacts could be expanded into its own section. The article specifically mentions basketry and stone tools so more information could be added here.

The Lead and the "Archaeology" section are the only two pieces to this article so there is plenty of potential for additions and edits. Other than additional written information surrounding the cave's history, the editor could add a couple of images to give readers an updated image of the site today. An image of the cave and its whereabouts with measurements or a map would also be beneficial for readers.

I am excited to see what Chloe chooses to add and edit to this article!
