Con21 is short for Consulting 21 P/L, a consulting and training firm started by Richard Speight [rasp8] and Barry Donnon, in 1994. Richard Speight is a BSc Chem and HND Leathersellers graduate [1970]. Rasp8 trained in sheepskin nappa production in Lancashire before moving to Australia and working on furniture leather, shoe upper, suede, garment and wet blue, all from bovine hides. In 1994 he started Consulting 21, working in management systems, leather technology and training. Since 2005 he has been largely inactive in the leather industry, pursuing other interests.
