Cornerstone is an Austrian Pop-Rockband, founded in 1998 by brothers Michael and Steve Wachelhofer and drummer Markus Bousska.
The band is signed by US-label ATOM Records since 2008,[1] at the end of 2013 Cornerstone released the charity-single Smalltown Boy (a cover by Bronski Beat) in aid of the Nottingham City Hospital and the Room To Breathe campaign of the Nottingham Post[2] and reached the charts in their homecountry Austria.[3] From 2016 onwards the band has an ongoing collobaration with Canadian producer Harry Hess, who also worked with Billy Talent, Muse, Simple Plan and was involved in the Grammy-winning album Mendó by Alex Cuba in 2022.[4]. The band also appeared on Austrian national TV ORF a few times.[5]
Cornerstone toured the United States and Europe[6] a few times and shared stage with artists like John Waite[7], New Model Army[8] and Gary Howard, former singer of The Flying Pickets and The Alan Parsons Project.[9] Altough the band trademarked their name, they are using the prefix "®“" or "(AT)" to avoid any confusions with another band, who also used this name in the past.
