[edit]The Group III tournament was held in two locations. Eight teems met February 24-28, in Cairo, Egypt (clay courts), and eight others met June 9-13 in Tallinn, Estonia (clay). In each location, the teams were divided into two round-robin pools. The top two teams from each pool advanced to a promotion playoff, while the bottom two were placed in a relegation playoff.[1]
