The Milton (Brisbane)

The Milton^[1] is an apartment property development under construction at 45-55 Railway Terrace in the suburb of Milton, Brisbane immediately adjacent to Milton Railway Station. When completed the residential tower will stand 102m tall and have 31 storeys of residential apartments with the ground floor being reserved for retail and commercial premises.

The Milton will contain one and two bedroom apartments as well as luxury style facilities and recreation deck for residents. Four lifts will service all 31 levels.

The Milton is the first major Transit Oriented Development (TOD) in Brisbane. The Queensland Government has identified TOD in its South East Queensland Regional Plan^[2] as a way of efficiently managing the growth of Brisbane by creating urban structures which reduce reliance on cars and embracing more efficient and sustainable modes of transport for Brisbane city.

Milton Railway Station will also receive a multi-million dollar refresh as part of the development of The Milton. Improvements will include a new ticketing office, public amenities, better lines of sight across platforms and improved access from Milton Road and Railway Terrace.^[3]
