Robert Frost Robert Frost was born in 1874 in San Francisco. In 1885, following the death of his father his family moved to New England. he received his education at Lawrence. his experience a farmer and a school teacher provided the material for many of his most famous poems. Robert Frost received a cogressional award in 1960. He is the only American poet to win four Puliter Prizes.
