Silent Walk FPS Creator is a game creator written by Zoltán Pércsich, using Game Maker. With version 1.1, you can create an FPS game with a limit of five weapons, and no staircases. With the recently released version 2.0, you can build levels with staircases, as many weapons as you like, teleporters, and many, many other features.

The Free version. The very first version is very much like v 1.1, but with no Buy Silent Walk splash screen. Of course it has limitations. You can make only one gun, no doors and no melee enemies. The project details have been changed too. You cannot add a skybox, or make fog, but you can still release the game as an EXE, so you can make a limited game and release it.

A rather limited editor, yet still much less buggy than FPS Creator is, v 1.1 is a fine editor, which does allow you to build quite decent games. Yet you can not make floors, so all the maps you design must be completely flat. It also limits you to only five guns, and you can't make melee weaponry. Even more limiting, it has no save feature. All players must finish the game without dying or quiting. And it can struggle on busy levels. If you use the unregistered version, you will have to suffer the Buy Silent Walk splash screen. v 1.1 currently costs about fifteen dollars.

Silent Walk FPS Creator 2.0

The newest incarnation of Silent Walk, 2.0 is available for public download. Both a trial and registered version is available, although the registered version costs $24.99. The trial version has a splash bar across the top of all produced games. The beta of Silent Walk had severe memory leaks, although the amount of leaks has been reduced by quite a bit.
