Sukan Para Malaysia 2022, also known as the 20th Para SUKMA was a sports event held in Kuala Lumpur from 1 to 6 November 2022. Initially, the event was named the Para Games Malaysia 2020 and was scheduled to take place in 2020 with Johor as the host, but was postponed to 5 to 10 April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Games were subsequently cancelled and continued with the 2022 Malaysian Para Games.

Marketing

The Games' official motto was "#DemiMalaysia".

The Games' logo combined stripes of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and purple, symbolizing the diversity of Malaysians. The letter X superimposed represents the 20th Malaysia Games and Para SUKMA depicts the dynamic and ever-forward movement of athletes in a fast-paced manner.

Mascot

The official mascots of the Games are two Malayan tigers named "Oyen". The name was chosen because it is easy to accept and remember by all levels of society, in keeping with the color orange which symbolizes courage. This mascot also depicts young athletes who do not lose their spirit and are steadfast in facing the struggle in the pursuit of glory.[2]

A total of 14 teams participating in the games involved teams from 13 states and federal territories.

Note: The total number of medals displayed, in order of ranking in total medals won, is as follows from 1 November to 6 November 2022.[3], Labuan WP Medals Total is separated from KL WP Medals Total ("KL WP" can also be called "Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory"), for the Malaysian Para Games, Putrajaya WP is not included.
