Operation BBQ Relief is a nonprofit organization focused on food distribution (specifically barbecue) as a form of disaster response based in Missouri, United States.
Organization History
[edit]The organization was founded on June 13, 2011 after a grassroots response to the May 22, 2011 Joplin tornado by competitive barbecue pitmasters.[1][3] Since its founding, the organization has served millions of meals at deployments[i] across at least half the states in the US and many scores of disasters.[3][4]
