Save The Earth

For centuries, the human race has thrived on the natural resources available on planet Earth. However, we have over-used and in some cases, even destroyed our natural assets. It is our responsibility to ensure that we use all natural resources carefully.

Littering The Planet

[edit]

Humans have polluted not only land but also air and water. Unrestricted use of plastic, dirtying of rivers and releasing poisonous air into the atmosphere is chocking our planet.

Copping Down Forests

[edit]

With human population growing rapidly, we need more space to accommodate them. To expand the cities, people are cutting down trees and stripping the forests. Cutting down forests makes our Earth warm, as it reduces the amount of oxygen in the air. Animals and birds loose there homes and it also makes the soil loose.

Help

[edit]

You can help to save your planet by following the three R's-reduce, reuse, and recycling. Try not to waste Earth's resources and use them sensibly. For every sheet of paper you use, four trees are cut somewhere on Earth. It takes thousands of trees to make one notebook. You can help your planet by recycling used paper to make new paper.

Recycled Paper

To make paper, all you have to do is:-

[edit]
  • Cut used paper or newspaper into small bits and put them in the mixing bowl.
  • Add some water to the paper bits and stir the mixture well.
  • Keep adding more water and stirring the pulp, until it looks like thick oatmeal.
  • Turn the bowl over the large flat pan.
  • Spread the water-paper pulp evenly over the base of the pan.
  • Place a few news paper sheets over the pulp on the base of the pan.
  • Turn the pan over the pulp, so that the pulp rests on the newspaper sheets.
  • Fold the newspaper over the pulp, so that the newspaper absorbs extra water from the pulp.
  • Press the newspaper with the rolling pin or a drawing scale, so that the pulp is flattened between the folds of the newspaper.
  • Carefully remove the pulp from the newspaper.
  • Let the pulp dry.
  • Your brand-new paper is ready!
