Big John Murray was born 8/30/1970 and raised in Norwood Ohio.In 1989 John joined the United States Marine Corp's and was part of the successful American Embassy evacuation in Somalia in January 1991. Following his time in the Marines John quickly entered into a career in the Music and Entertainment Industry becoming one of the most prominent providers of Personal Security and Assistant work for many of the biggest and best known entertainers of his time. From Los Angeles based RATT, to Poison, Kid Rock to Brian Setzer and the Stray Cats, then on to a very successful Tour Management career with Bret Michaels of Poison. He became a reality television sensation due to the success of what became a VH-1staple, Rock of Love seasons 1,2 and Rock of Love Bus. John retired from touring in 2010 and is now a Security Specialist in the growing industry of music themed cruises including the Monsters of Rock cruises which have been a constant in the newest line of entertainment options. He continues to reside in Cincinnati Ohio and is now married to Leilani Murray, formerly of Grantsville Utah.
